Get with the "Pro"gram!

With warm weather finally here the fairways are already a lush green!  Doug Estes will be fertilizing the entire golf course this week so be ready for GCC to pop!  I am excited to announce that today we have "NEW" range balls!  On Sunday we got rid of the old balls and put 600 dozen brand new balls into circulation!

On Friday from 2-6 pm we have the Titleist Fitting Day!  We only have a couple of appointments available so call 754-6453 to make your appointment.  Members are welcome to come out even if you do not have an appointment for a fitting and try out the latest and greatest that Titleist has to offer!

Saturday we have the One Man Scramble which is the coolest format in the world.  How many times have you hit a shot and then drop another ball and hit a perfect shot?  Well in the One Man Scramble that second ball will count!  The way this format works on every hole you will get two mulligans.  Every player will get a percentage of their handicap.  Don't worry I have done this format before and it is so fun and pace of play is still fast!  Please call 754-6453 to sign up!

Don't forget to sign up for the Anderson Classic which is the Season long Match Play Golf Tournament!  Teams will consist of two members and the format is match play using best ball.  The field will consist of 32 teams and there will be a window of a month to complete each match.  This is such a fun tournament and the field is already 50% full so call 754-6453 to sign up!

Something you might not know about your GCC Golf Shop!

GCC has some of the nicest Rental Clubs in the nation!  If you are looking to bring a business client or a visiting family member out to play and they do not have their clubs.  Need not worry GCC have two brand new sets of Ping G25 irons and woods for them to use!

GCC Swim Team Sign-ups!

With a NEW pool we need an undefeated swim team and the only way to accomplish that is to have a lot of swimmers!  Please come sign your kids up for a summer of fun swimming on the GCC swim team.  Last year my son Jace and daughter Ella joined the team for the first time and had so much fun.  They are excited to compete again!  Please call me at 827-6015 if you have any questions otherwise I look forward to seeing you at practice!

2nd annual Crawfish Boil

Back by popular demand we are having the Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 20th at 4:30 pm!  This is going to be a perfect family outing with a Gigantic Bouncy and slide with rock climbing wall!  I am also excited to announce that Katherine Stallins and her band will be performing!  Ben Buisson's family will be preparing crawfish fresh from Louisiana!  Chef Ronnie will also be preparing plenty of other mouth watering delights to go along with the Crawfish.  We will have a kids buffet so it will be fun for the entire family!  Last year this was the place to be so be sure you leave April 20th at 4:30 pm open on your calendar!

April is here but we will have to wait until Friday to get the warm weather!  It is going to be a glorious weekend so call 754-6453 to make a tee time!

I hope everyone had a great Easter, it was fun to see everyone at the Easter Egg hunt and we were lucky that the rain held off long enough to get it in! 

Tomorrow we have another GCC 2 Man with a 5:30 pm start time!  So get a friend and come out for a great evening of golf!  The current forecast calls for Sunny and 55 tomorrow evening.  Perfect for golf!

Get with the "Pro"gram!

It is crazy I know but unfortunately we will be covering the greens today to get ready for a cold night.  The greens have begun to come out of dormancy and we do not want the cold evening to damage them.  Anyone interested in playing today will have to tee off before 12:15 pm. 

On Saturday our second Gold Level golf tournament went on without a hitch!  We were so lucky and weather cooperated!  We had another wonderful field with 56 players and on the bottom of this email are all the winners!

This weekend is Easter and I promise it will warm up.  Currently on Good Friday they are forecasting a high of 60!  With it being a Holliday weekend the golf course will be busy so please call 754-6453 to make tee times!  Also don't forget about the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at 10:30 am!  The Easter Bunny will be here and I can't wait to see the kids dressed up in their Easter dresses!

Sign up for the GCC "March Madness" Challenge!

I hate to send out more than one email but I forgot to announce the "GCC March Madness" Challenge!  I have set up a group on espn.com so all members are welcome to submit as many brackets as they want with the chance to win 2 Guest fees for first place and a Dozen Pro V1's for second place!  To submit an entry go to Espn.com and create a bracket.  When you have finished your bracket click to join a group and group name is Germantown Country Club and the password is GCC123.  Please call 754-6453 if you have any questions and Good Luck!

I also forgot to announce the winners of last week's FREE GUEST fee contest for the lowest gross and net score.  The winners this week were Dave Wells and Joe Battistelli!  Congratulations to both of you and remember the only way to win is to turn in those great scores!

I'm back after a glorious week in Punta Cana and I am excited to see the grass beginning to green up!  Hopefully after this week we can get back to highs in the 70's!  Today looks awesome with the high forecasted to reach 60!  Don't forget that today - Thursday GCC is having a Spring Showcase and members can bring guests out for only $40 each!  Please call 754-6453 to make a tee time!

Tomorrow is the first GCC 2 Man of the season.  I love to type those words that means the golf season is back to being in full swing!  For those of you that are not aware of what the 2 man is it is only the coolest way to spend the middle part of the work week!  The event begins tomorrow at 5 pm and is a 2 person 9 hole scramble with handicap.  Bring Cash because the entry fee is $30 but be ready to win that cash back at the conclusion because I pay the top 5 teams along with a any skins.  We do these events every two weeks and they are the most popular things I do!!!!!!!!!!  Call 754-6453 to sign up!

On Saturday we have the Chicago Shootout beginning at 9 am!  We already have a great field and the weather looks good with a high of 59!  Saturday's tournament is a 4 person team that scrambles the tee ball then plays their own ball for the rest of the hole.  I will award both team and individual prizes.  Please call 754-6453 to sign up or for more information!

Date Change:  The GCC 3 Man that was scheduled for May 11 & 12 has been changed to Saturday & Sunday, May 18 & 19!  This is such an awesome tournament where members can invite up to 2 guests with NO guest fees all weekend!
