Get with the "Pro"gram!

Good afternoon,

If this is the first time you are receiving the Get with the "Pro"gram email it is because we merged Alicia Wertz's  and my distribution lists together.  Moving forward all of our communication with the membership will come from this list so please do not unsubscribe.  Our goal in 2017 is to keep everyone more informed on upcoming events in all areas of GCC.  Below is how we are going to achieve this goal.
  • Currently we are in the process of improving our website which will be a great tool for members to use in staying informed.
  • We created a new twitter account so please follow @germantowncc for daily updates on course conditions, upcoming events, tournament results, and much more.
  • We will continue to send out weekly emails on upcoming events in Golf, Tennis, Swimming, and Dining.
  • Please like the Germantown Country Club and Germantown Country Club Hurricanes Swim Team Facebook pages for information and pictures.
"HOT OFF THE PRESSES" please look below for all the 2017 events.
  • Valentines Party
  • Tournament Schedule
  • Mens and Ladies Golf Clinics
  • Junior Camps
We are getting ready to have a busy 2017 and we do not want anyone to miss out on any activities.  If anyone has any ideas on how we can improve please let me know!
Thank You for your support,

Handicap Committee

The function of the Handicap Committee is to provide an even playing field for all of our members. Playing in a tournament with participants having CORRECT handicaps makes the competition fair and equitable to everyone.
 1)    Members are not to post their own scores
  1. The pro shop personnel must post all scores
  2. After the 5th time the member will not be allowed in any of club tournaments.
2)     Members are to turn in the score sheet to the pro shop after the round so their scores can be posted.
  1. After the 3rd time a member dozen't turn in the score sheet, the pro shop will post the best score of the last 20 scores for their handicap every time a sheet is not turned in.
3)      Away Scores:
  1. If a member plays at another course they can turn in that score card to the pro shop and have it posted.
  2. If the member would like to post the score instantly please take a picture of the scorecard and text or email it to the pro shop.
4)      Playing alone:
  1. in 2016 the USGA implemented a new rule where players can no longer post a score if they play by themselves.  Someone must attest to a score for it to be considered a legal score
