Get with the "Pro"gram!

Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves on Saturday at the Crawfish Boil.  We had a record crowd with 250+ people.  A special Thanks goes out to Ben Buisson, Ernie Buisson, and Cyril Bernius for bringing the 450 pounds of crawfish up fresh from the Louisiana coast and preparing them.  They were amazing!  Also I would like to Thank the Kathryn Stallins Band and the entire GCC Staff for making the evening spectacular!  Even the evening storm couldn't't damper the night, in fact I would like to Thank all the members that helped get tables and chairs out of the elements, especially Stephen Brimm, Barrett Mann and his cute daughter Carter who were apart of the chair brigade.  It was a night to remember and I cannot wait until next year!

Please Note: Greens Aerification
Tomorrow and Wednesday we will be performing a Dryjet Aerification and Deep Tine Aerification to our greens.  This process is a very necessary action to keep our greens healthy.  Thankfully this process does not hurt the putt-ability of the greens too much, so I encourage members to still plan on playing this week.  With that said on Tuesday, May 2nd we will be doing the front nine greens so the back nine will be the only thing open.  On Wednesday, May 3rd we will aerify the back nine and the front will be the only side open.  Once all 18 hole are completed the golf course will be back open as normal.

Reduced Guest Fee - Tuesday, May 2 - Thursday, May 4
With the Greens Aerification process being done, we are reducing our Guest and cart fee to $40 plus tax.

US Open Sectional Qualifier @ GCC
(Volunteers Needed)

I am excited to announce that on June 5th GCC is once again the host site for the sectional qualifier for the 2017 USGA US Open!  We will have some of the best players in the world competing here to get into the final field at Erin Hills.  This is a great opportunity to see how the best in the world can play the same holes you play every weekend.  This will be the 6th time we have hosted during my tenure (7th overall) and still no one has been able to touch Phil Mickelson's course record score of 63 he shot in 1993.  Members/guests are welcome to come watch the action on June 5th, admission is FREE!

Any members interested in helping us out, we will need volunteers to help with scoring, scoreboard, and registration.  Please call 754-6453 if you can help!
