Get with the "Pro"gram!

Good Afternoon,
Happy Labor Day everyone!  I hope you are as excited as I am for the unofficial end of Summer and return of college football.  I hope my Bulldogs can handle Charleston Southern on Saturday.

Although Harvey is scheduled to dump some rain on on us the next two days, the weekend looks fabulous so I hope everyone plans on hanging out at GCC this weekend.  We will be open on Monday and closed on Tuesday.

Labor Day Pool Party!

On Labor Day we will have the end of the season pool party.  The kids will love sliding down the Blue Ice Water slide.  The tiki bar will be available along with everyone's favorite hot dogs and hamburgers from 11 am - 2:30 pm.

***GCC will close all facilities at 6 pm on Labor Day***

Getting Fit @ GCC!

Have you ever heard the saying maybe it's not the Indian its the arrow?  When it comes to golf equipment, that might be the case.  If your equipment is not properly fit to your golf swing and body type, it could be almost impossible to hit a golf ball straight.  We would love to schedule a time to make sure your equipment is properly fit for you or fit you for new clubs.  Please call 754-6453 so we can fit you today!

Dress Code:  We require proper golf attire for members and guests when playing golf and using the practice facilities.  Please make sure you abide by the below rules:
  • Tucked in, Collared Shirt
  • No Cargo Shorts
  • No Denim
  • Hats Facing Forward

Now that we are in the heart of the golf season, the golf course is very busy.  In an effort to help create a positive experience for everyone, we ask that all members abide by the below pace of play policy.

Handicap Committee

The function of the Handicap Committee is to provide an even playing field for all of our members. Playing in a tournament with participants having CORRECT handicaps makes the competition fair and equitable to everyone.

  1. The pro shop personnel must post all scores
  2. After the 5th time the member will not be allowed in any of club tournaments.
2)     Members are to turn in the score sheet to the pro shop after the round so their scores can be posted.
  1. After the 3rd time a member dozen't turn in the score sheet, the pro shop will post the best score of the last 20 scores for their handicap every time a sheet is not turned in.
3)      Away Scores:
  1. If a member plays at another course they can turn in that score card to the pro shop and have it posted.
  2. If the member would like to post the score instantly please take a picture of the scorecard and text or email it to the pro shop.
4)      Playing alone:
  1. in 2016 the USGA implemented a new rule where players can no longer post a score if they play by themselves.  Someone must attest to a score for it to be considered a legal score
